Taking the Course 
This is a (2) two day comprhensive course with a multiple choice exam at the end of the second day. The candidates must get 70% of the questions correct in order to get a passing grade. The course was developed to improve the installation of fenestration products within the construction industry. The goal is to eliminate avoidable problems and reduce the need for additional work due to callbacks. Candidate must have at least one year of verifiable installation experience of fenestration products or be a trainee (See Trainee). The course provides an overview of information relating to: Selecting fenestration product types and materials Product performance testing and labeling Performance requirements of windows and doors Site Inspection Specifications and codes Measuring and ordering windows Removal and installation of products Final cleaning and inspection
This training course assumes that the installer possesses the following basic knowledge and skills: Basic measuring skills Woodworking ability An under standing of wall construction An understanding of the proper use of tools normal to the contruction trade Working knowledge of the applicable federal, state, local codes and regulations.
